A star with 5 colours. 5 myths about hypnosis.

Is hypnosis real?

The common myths that surround hypnosis

Hypnosis is a powerful tool that can be used to help people make positive changes in their lives. However, there are many myths about it that can prevent people from exploring its benefits. Here are 5 of the most common myths about hypnosis:

1. Hypnosis is sleep

Hypnosis is not sleep. In fact, people who are hypnotised are typically aware of their surroundings and can hear what is going on around them. They are also able to control their own behaviour and can choose to come out of hypnosis at any time.

2. Only weak-minded people can be hypnotised

This is not true. Hypnosis is a state of heightened suggestibility that can be achieved by anyone. In fact, some studies have shown that people who are more intelligent and creative are more likely to reach a hypnotic state.

3. Hypnotists can make people do anything

This is also not true. Hypnotists cannot make people do anything they do not want to do. In fact, people who are hypnotised are always in control of their own thoughts and actions.

4. Hypnosis is dangerous

Hypnosis is not dangerous. In fact, it has been shown to be a safe and effective treatment for a variety of conditions, including pain, anxiety, and stress.

5. Hypnosis is a form of mind control

Hypnosis is not a form of mind control. It is a state of heightened suggestibility that can be used to help people achieve positive changes in their lives from within.
